Sweden’s Smögen distillery resides on a farm near Hunnebostrand, and was named after the small island of Smögen which is also nearby. It was founded back in 2009, and has swiftly become a favourite among world whisky enthusiasts for their willingness to try out new things with their whisky right out of the gate.

Mackmyras whiskylager ligger insprängt i Smögens granit, i en jättesal som tidigare var skyddsrum. Mackmyras västkustlager ligger på Smögen och samtidigt som kundernas whisky lagras här erbjuds visningar och whiskyprovning. Whiskyprovningen sker på restaurang Sea Lodge på Smögen, och visningen görs i bergrummet. This Islay Single Malt was distilled in 1992 and bottled not long ago by Whisky Sponge. Islay Single Malt 27 yo 1992 (48,5%, Whisky Sponge 2020, refill barrel, 293 btl.)
